The adjustor (3) has a housing (4) with a detachable locking element, a wedge like clamping guide (18) comprising a locking device (6) and a positioning element (28) e.g. helical compression spring, for adjustable connection of the housing with a transmission element (5). A clamp-like control device (7) controls the locking device. The transmission element is connected with an actuating member i.e. hand brake lever. The transmission element has a rod-shaped traction element (22) with a locking profile (27). The positioning element is arranged between the transmission element and the housing.
