<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound type solid electrolyte capacitor which has low ESR, large electrostatic capacitance, and high reliability during use under high temperature conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The wound type solid electrolyte capacitor has a layer of an electroconductive polymer formed on a capacitor element that is produced by winding an anode having a dielectric layer formed on a surface of an aluminum foil and a cathode formed of the aluminum foil through a separator, which is formed by polymerizing a monomer mixture including 2, 3-dihydro-thieno(3, 4-b)(1, 4)dioxin and 2-alkyl-2, 3-dihydro-thieno(3, 4-b)(1, 4)dioxin, the alkyl groups of which have the carbon number of 1-4, with the molar ratio of 0.05:1 to 1:0.1 in the presence of organic sulfonic acid, and which contains the organic sulfonic acid as a dopant.
