摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which improves complex work for adjusting a bias of an electro optic modulator, in a laser system which causes the electro optic modulator to capture a portion of signal light and to output pulse light. <P>SOLUTION: A laser system embodying the present invention includes: a signal light source 11 which outputs signal light; an optical amplifier 21 which amplifies the signal light output from the signal light source 11; an electro optic modulator 25 which captures a portion of the signal light amplified by the optical amplifier and outputs pulse light; an ASE light detector 27 which is provided on a light outgoing side of the electro optic modulator 25, and detects ASE light generated at the optical amplifier 21; and an EO control unit 55 which controls operation of the electro optic modulator 25. The laser system is arranged such that the EO control unit 55 adjusts a bias voltage of the electro optic modulator 25 so as to provide minimum intensity of the ASE light detected by the ASE light detector 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
