<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing polyamide fiber having a high degree of polymerization, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and thermal resistance, and particularly polyamide staple fiber suitable for papermaking felt. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing polyamide fiber, comprises the steps of: supplying polyamide having sulfuric acid relative viscosity of 4.0 or more and a master polymer including a hindered phenol-based antioxidant at a higher concentration than in the polyamide to a spinning machine while keeping water contents of the respective polymers at 150 to 370 ppm; mixing and melting the thus obtained mixture so that a content of the hindered phenol-based antioxidant in fiber may be 0.1 to 1.0 mass%; and obtaining polyamide fiber with single fiber fineness of 6 to 35 dtex by melt spinning the melted mixture at a spinning temperature of 280 to 295°C and drawing the resultant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
