<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress streak unevenness while suppressing the manufacturing cost of an image recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus includes: a low-intensity ink discharge part for discharging low-intensity ink; and a high-intensity ink discharge part for discharging high-intensity ink. With respect to a direction orthogonal to a moving direction of printing paper, a pitch of a discharge port of the high-intensity ink discharge part is larger than the pitch of the discharge port of the low-intensity ink discharge part. Therefore, the manufacturing cost of the image recording apparatus is reduced. When a screen tint image is recorded with the high-intensity ink at each gradation level in a halftone area, a space frequency of the screen tint image is lower than that of the screen tint image with the low-intensity ink. Even when the high-intensity ink discharge part includes an abnormal discharge port in which a flight direction of liquid droplet is abnormal, the streak unevenness in a colored dot image can be suppressed by the image recording control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
