<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for monitoring the nitrite-nitrogen concentration of a treated water in a water treatment process. <P>SOLUTION: The device 1 for monitoring a nitrite-nitrogen concentration is provided with an absorbance measuring unit a2 for measuring the absorbance with respect to light of 353 nm wavelength of the water to be treated flowing in a treatment tank 5, and an absorbance measuring unit b3 for measuring the absorbance with respect to light of 353 nm wavelength of the treated water discharged from the tank 5. Besides, based on the difference between the absorbance "a" measured by the absorbance measuring unit a2 and the absorbance "b" measured by the unit b3, a calculation unit 4 monitors the nitrite-nitrogen concentration of the treated water whose concentration descends by being treated in the tank 5, or such concentration of the water to be treated flowing in the tank 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
