<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod position detector which is made compact by reducing a detection space extending in an axial direction required for detecting a position of a clamp rod and improves position detection accuracy for the clamp rod. <P>SOLUTION: The rod position detector 7 includes: a valve supporting member 30 fixed on a clamp body 2; a valve mechanism 40 having a valve member 36 mounted on the valve supporting member 30 so as to be movable in an axial direction; a fluid passage 45 for detecting the position which is formed on the valve supporting member 30 and is opened/closed by the valve mechanism 40; a first biasing mechanism 50 biasing the valve member 36 toward a valve closing direction; a second biasing mechanism 55 biasing the valve member 36 toward a valve opening direction; and an biasing force switching mechanism 60 for reversing relation of the biasing force of the first biasing mechanism 50 and the second biasing mechanism 55 at the most advancing position or its vicinity when driving the clamp rod 3 by a hydraulic cylinder 20 to the most advancing position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
