PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven/knitted fabric with adequate dry feel and unartificial spun natural appearance. SOLUTION: This woven/knitted fabric is obtained by the following process: at any stage until the melt spinning of a polyester polymer is ended, the polymer is incorporated with 0.3-15 mol% of a sulfonic acid compound of formula II (Y is H or an ester-forming functional group; M1 and M2 are each a metal atom; (n) is 1 or 2) based on the bifunctional carboxylic acid component of the polyester, and then spun by a specific means from a spinneret into hollow polyester multifilaments, which, in turn, are twisted in the number of twists T satisfying the relationship I: 5,500<=√(De)×T<=27,000 (De is the fineness of the polyester multifilament: denier); wherein the spinneret is such one as to be furnished with one or more pairs of issue holes mutually connected via slits and differing in issue cross-section area from one another with the issue holes of greater cross-section area used for hollow filament formation. |
