<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back massaging apparatus capable of projecting a massaging mechanism forward and returning it into its original normal position, attaining longitudinal thinning in the back massaging apparatus after securing the sufficient amount of operation, and restraining a backrest part from becoming thick as a chair-type massage machine. <P>SOLUTION: The back massaging apparatus 4 provided at the chair-type massage machine 1 includes: the massaging mechanism 10 having a lateral pair of massaging members 17 comprising therapeutic elements 21a for carrying out massaging operation, and a drive part 18 transmitting the massaging operation to the massaging members 17; a base member 12 supporting the massaging mechanism 10 in the forward facing state of the massaging members 17; a vertical moving mechanism 13 making the base member 12 vertically movable within the backrest part 3; and a projecting amount adjusting mechanism 14 for moving the massaging members 17 so as to change the longitudinal projecting amount of the therapeutic elements 21a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
