A source module 304 for supporting a plurality of gamma sources, for example containing Cobalt 60, comprises a main frame having a pair of opposed support elements (307) by which the ends of radiation sources 305 are supported. The support elements each include a support block (311) with supports (315) at fixed, spaced locations to hold the radiation sources in parallel. Each source 305 has on outer capsule (333) with end caps (335) and has several contained conventional sources 101 of smaller diameter encapsulated within.
