PURPOSE: A database restoration method and apparatus thereof are provided to effectively restore deleted data from a data base by dividing the data base into a deletion domain and a non-allocation domain. CONSTITUTION: A schema table parser(81) receives a data base file including information which manages data records and confirms configuration information which supports the recorded data. An unassigned domain analysis unit(82) detects an unassigned domain from the configuration information. A cell length estimation unit(83) estimates the length of a cell included in the unassigned domain. A data detection unit(84) detects the deleted data by analyzing a deleted domain based on information provided from the cell length estimation unit and the unassigned domain analysis unit.
