<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device having a limited projecting dimension for any length dimensions, capable of avoiding interference with other component members of a building in a favorable condition. <P>SOLUTION: A vibration control device 1 which is installed to a beam 100 having upper and lower flanges 110 and 120 and a web 130 connecting the upper and lower flanges 110 and 120 so as to control the vertical vibration of a beam 100 comprises: a vibrating body holding part 10 which is fixed to the beam 100; a vibrating body 20 which is held at an approximately intermediate position between the upper and lower flanges 110 and 120 by the vibrating body holding part 10, extends along the longitudinal direction of the web 130, and vibrates in the vertical direction along with the vertical vibration of the beam 100; and a damping material 30 which is installed between the vibrating body 20 and the beam 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
