<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that can accurately detect the position of the ink drop ejected from a recording head. <P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus ejects the given ink drop from a recording head (21-25), and detects the position information of a sub-scanning direction of the ink drop (303) corresponding to a first output signal obtained from a first light receiving element array (301Y) when the ink drop (303) passes a portion of each optical axis (304Y) of a first light emitting element array (300Y), and the position information of the main scanning direction of the ink drop (303) corresponding to the second output signal obtained from a second light receiving element array (301X) when the ink drop (303) passes a portion of each optical axis (304X) of a second light emitting element array (300X). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
