PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module that has a function for monitoring output light from a surface-emitting laser.

SOLUTION: An optical communication module includes: a surface-emitting laser; an optical fiber for receiving emitted light emitted from the surface-emitting laser; an optical coupling member for optically coupling the emitted light with the optical fiber; and a monitor part for monitoring the emitted light. The optical coupling member includes: a lens part for collimating the emitted light to emit collimated light; a reflection part having a reflective surface for reflecting the collimated light in the direction of the optical fiber; a transmission part which is provided on the reflective surface and transmits, in the direction of the monitor part, a part of the light having passed through the lens part.
