<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, communication apparatus, and image processor capable of adding appropriate additional information to image data and transmitting them to a destination apparatus, while suppressing a work load on a user. <P>SOLUTION: A BOX 10 notifies an MFP 30 of a BOX origination source name 58 registered in the BOX 10 and an origination source number 55 assigned to a communication system 1. The MFP 30 generates an origination source name 54, based on an MFP origination source name 60 previously registered in an own device and the BOX origination source name 58 to be notified from the BOX 10. The MFP 30 further generates an origination record 50 including transmission date information 52, the origination source name 54, the origination source number 55, and page information 56, synthesizes the origination record 50 with the header of the image data, and transmits it to the BOX 10.
