PURPOSE: A caption generating method and a caption display method thereof are provided to visually display high or low and length of a sound of audio data on a caption synchronized with audio data. CONSTITUTION: Audio data are divided into reference sections(31). A musical note corresponding to the divided audio data is displayed on a manuscript paper(32). The musical note is displayed on the manuscript paper within each reference section. Caption data corresponding to the audio data are inserted into a head portion of the displayed musical note. A caption is generated(33).
