PURPOSE: A phase interpolator is provided to generate an interpolation clock signal by interpolating the phase of a delay clock signal and a clock signal. CONSTITUTION: A phase interpolator comprises a frequency determination part(100), a variable delay part(200), and an interpolation part(300). The frequency determination part generates a frequency information signal in response to a clock signal. A frequency information signal has information about the frequency of the clock signal. The variable delay part generates a delay clock signal by changeably delaying the clock signal according to the frequency information signal. The interpolation part receives the clock signal and the delay clock signal. The interpolation part generates the interpolation clock signal by interpolating the phase of the delay clock signal and the clock signal. |
