<p>Embodiments and methods are disclosed herein that relate to a valve assembly (301). The valve assembly (301) includes a housing (303) having a passage (305) formed therethrough, and a valve ball (311) having a through hole and disposed in the housing (303), in which the valve ball (311) is rotatable between an open position that has the through hole aligned with the passage and a closed position that has the through hole misaligned with the passage. The valve assembly further includes a first seat (331) having a first sealing surface and disposed in the housing (303) adjacent to the valve ball (311), and a second seat (341) having a second sealing surface and disposed in the housing (303) adjacent to the first seat (331) such that the first sealing surface of the first seat (331) is disposed adjacent to the second sealing surface of the second seat (341). At least one of the first sealing surface of the first seat (331) and the second sealing surface of the second seat (341) comprises an arcuate surface.</p> |
