The invention relates to a golf tee (1) comprising a ballasted base (2) consisting of asymmetrical shapes with a horizontal surface for resting on the ground and a vertical shaft (3) removably secured to the base (2) and projecting above the latter, the shaft (3) comprising, at the top end thereof, a wide seat (30) for supporting and positioning a golf ball (4). The cylindrical shaft (3), positioned as close as possible to the ball impact area, includes a vertical inner bore (36) which is open at the top end thereof in order to form the seat (30) for the ball (4). The shaft has circumferential areas (37) for clearing seats (30), which are evenly spaced apart from one another along a vertical axis, each of said areas determining a geometric plane (P) for cutting the shaft at a preselected height and manifested as external markings (38), each plane (P) being perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said shaft.
