<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image processing on a camera image in which an object in an actual external world is imaged by a camera 21 attached to the head of an observer together with an HMD 12 so that the object is appropriately displayed by a monitoring device 130 when the monitoring device 130 displays the camera image to a person different from the observer. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus performs image inclination correction by detecting an inclination angle of the head of the observer with respect to a gravity direction, and correcting an inclination of the camera image with respect to the gravity direction in the reverse direction with respect to the direction of the detected inclination angle, and at substantially the same angle. The image processing apparatus displays the camera image after being subjected to the image inclination correction as a monitor image on a screen 150 of the monitoring device 130. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
