<p>A treatment apparatus for hair constituted of: a comb like assembly constituted of a base member and a plurality of teeth extending from the base member; a motion sensor fixed in relation to the comb like assembly and arranged to output a signal indicative of motion of the comb like assembly; a control circuitry in communication with the motion sensor; and a heat source arranged to provide heat to hair strands disposed between the plurality of teeth of the comb like assembly, wherein the control circuitry is arranged to interrupt the heat source in the absence of motion of the comb like assembly.</p>
