<p>A method of preventing the accumulation of debris within cavities or voids of crop engaging components of an agricultural combine (10) is provided. To prevent debris accumulation within such cavities (36, 142), the cavities (36, 142) of such crop engaging components are first identified. Then, the cavities (36, 142) are injected with a fill material (38, 144), such as self-expanding foam to fill the cavity (36, 142) and adhere thereto. A rasp bar (130) for mounting to a rotor of an agricultural combine (10) is also provided. The rasp bar (130) includes a rasp bar element (134), a mounting bracket (132), a fastener (108), and a fill material (144) for filling a cavity (142) formed by the rasp bar (130).</p> |
