<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knockdown rack that enables a user to laterally extend the rack width and to install shelves on both right and left sides of column devices at the same height, thereby allowing a user to assemble a rack having a coordinated and beautiful appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The knockdown rack includes: at least four column devices; at least two shelf members; and a plurality of holding pieces. The column device includes two right and left parallel vertical columns, and a plurality of connection members for connecting the two right and left columns. The holding piece is provided with a vertically-extended fitting groove. Each wing piece is installed on both ends of an opening of the fitting groove. The fitting groove of the holding piece is used for fitting the column of the column device thereinto so that the holding piece is mounted to the column device. A C-shaped clamp having an outward-directed opening is installed on each of the front/rear ends on both lateral sides of the shelf member. The C-shaped clamp is configured to clamp the two wing pieces of the holding piece and to press the two wing pieces in order to bring them into pressure-contact with each other and to reduce the hole diameter of the fitting groove, thereby holding the column. Namely, the C-shaped clamps at four corners of the shelf member can be respectively fixed to each column of the four front/rear and right/left column devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
