<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it takes a lot of time to insulate each tooth of a stator core. <P>SOLUTION: In a hoist motor for an elevator, each tooth defining a slot is covered with a pair of insulators 20 fitted from both sides in the axial direction, and an insulator 21 provided in an air gap between the insulators 20 while engaging with the insulator 20.
