PURPOSE: A guide rail for absorbing shocks is provided to prevent big accidents by firstly and secondly absorbing the shocks. CONSTITUTION: A guide rail for absorbing shocks comprises a horizontal bar(30b) and a fourth bracket(100d). The horizontal bar is installed on one side of a post(20). The horizontal bar comprises a cutout portion and connecting ends horizontally extended from inner upper and lower ends of the cutout portion. A third bracket comprises a pair of horizontal pieces and vertical pieces. The pair of horizontal pieces is formed facing each other, and comprises an eleventh fastening hole on one side. The pair of vertical pieces is connected to both ends of the horizontal pieces, and comprises a twelfth fastening hole.
