<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flow meter capable of detecting water immersion in a meter case, while suppressing additional processing or design change of the meter case, component number and the labor and time for assembly. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic flow meter 10 of the present invention comprises abnormality determining means (step S15, S16) for determining the occurrence of water immersion when a wave height of a specified peak, out of a plurality of peaks included in ultrasonic waves received by an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 30 of a wave-receiving side, decreases beyond a preset reference value. Specifically, it is determined whether or not an amplification degree set to amplify such that a received wave is a preset reference wave height, exceeds a preset prescribed reference amplification degree (S15), and when the reference amplification degree is exceeded (Yes at S15), the occurrence of water immersion into the meter case 20 is determined (S16). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
