The switchgear (1) has a gearshift lever shaft (2) rotating around its axial axis, where one or more actuating elements (5) are provided for engaging and releasing the individual gears. The actuating elements are arranged torque proof on the gearshift lever shaft. A gearshift lock prohibits shifting of the non-preselected gearshift tracks. The gearshift lock has two separate shaft elements.
