PURPOSE:To improve the interface adhesion property by spraying a high-pressure water jet of a silane coupling agent-containing solution onto a glass fiber woven fabric through plural nozzles. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber woven fabric is subjected to heat cleaning and subsequently passed under nozzles arranged on a straight line in the width direction of the fabric at a prescribed space. While the fabric is made to pass under the nozzles, the glass fiber woven fabric is subjected to water jet treatment at 5-150kg/cm<2> injection pressure by spraying a treatment prepared by adjusting a silane coupling agent selected from aminosilanes such as gamma- aminopropyltriethoxysilane, epoxysilanes, chlorosilanes, methacrylsilanes and vinylsilanes to pH3-4 using an aqueous acetic acid solution and diluting to 0.1-5wt.% concentration through nozzles having 0.1-0.4mm pore size, subsequently dried to make to adhere the coupling agent in an amount of 0.01-2wt.% and to obtain a glass fiber woven fabric excellent in adhesion to a matrix resin. By piling up the resultant fabric on a prepreg impregnated with an epoxy resin solution and heat pressing, a basal plate for printed wiring excellent in drillability is obtained. |
