Provided is a label attachment device wherein when a cylindrical tensile label is attached to a container, the end-face of the label attached to the container can have a linear shape. A label attachment device configures a label attachment system, together with a bottle supply device, a label generation device, a label base material supply device, a label transfer device, a label delivery device, and a bottle transfer deice. The label attachment device has a diameter expansion claw (50) for expanding the label (L) in the diameter direction, the diameter expansion claw (50) comprising a claw portion (54) and a leaf spring (58) provided at the tip end of the claw portion (54) and projecting from the tip end so as to function as an elastic body. The length of the claw portion (54) and the leaf spring (58) in the axial direction is longer than the length of the label in the axial direction. For the elastic body, a cloth knitted to be stretchable can be used in place of the leaf spring (58).
