<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst process in which catalytic activity is free from deterioration with time by suppressing polymerization of highly polymerizable DMB on an acid point, in manufacturing DMB from PCN by a vapor-phase method using a solid acid catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: Under a hydrogen carrier gas atmosphere, 2,3-dimethyl-1,3-butadiene is continuously manufactured by rearrangement/dehydration reaction of 3,3-dimethyl-2-butanone by a vapor-phase process using a catalyst with a solid oxide carrier carrying cobalt oxide (II), cobalt (III), or copper oxide (II). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
