<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an iodine aniline derivative enabling easy manufacturing at high yield. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the iodine aniline derivative represented by general formula (2) includes a process of making an aniline derivative represented by general formula (1) and iodine molecule react with each other in a polar solvent under the presence of persulfate and concentrated sulfuric acid. In the general formulas, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>independently show a hydrogen atom, 1C-6C alkyl group, or the like. Y<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and Y<SP POS="POST">4</SP>independently show a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, or 1C-6C alkyl group. Y<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, Y<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and Y<SP POS="POST">5</SP>independently show a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, nitro group, or 1C-6C haloalkyl group.
