PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient input technique.

SOLUTION: An input control unit 80 includes: a keyboard display unit 82 for displaying, on a screen, plural characters capable of being input; an input reception unit 81 for receiving selection of a character from a user; an input character string acquisition unit 84 for acquiring the selected character to add it to an input character string; a conversion candidate acquisition unit 85 for acquiring one or more conversion candidate character strings obtained by converting a character string including the input character string; and a conversion candidate display unit 86 for aligning the one or more conversion candidate character strings in a row or a column for display and receiving selection of a conversion candidate character string from the user. When the conversion candidate display unit 86 cannot display the one or more conversion candidate character strings in a row or a column, the conversion candidate display unit 86 scrolls the one or more conversion candidate character strings in response to reception of flick operation on the row or the column.
