The invention relates to an appliance casing comprising a frame and a cap (11; 21), and also means for fixing the cap (11; 21) to the frame, the frame comprising a protrusion that is inserted into a corresponding hole in the cap (11; 21), this protrusion having an end that is intended to be crimped. According to the invention, the cap (11; 21) is designed such that the removal thereof contrary to the crimp necessarily produces a permanent deformation of the cap (11; 21) in the vicinity of the hole, this permanent deformation remaining visible to the naked eye on the outer face of the cap (11; 21). The invention is applied to an appliance casing such as an electricity meter. |
