PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying scores are provided to easily and accurately display a score by precisely turning over pages of a score because a spring deterioration phenomenon is prevented. CONSTITUTION: A device for displaying scores comprises a score data storing unit, a displaying unit, a controlling unit, and an input unit. The input unit comprises an accommodating unit(460) of a hollow box shape, a light emitting unit(470), a light receiving unit(480), and a controlling unit(AP). The light emitting unit and the light receiving unit are attached to an inner side ceiling and a bottom of the accommodating unit. The controlling unit is arranged in between the light emitting unit and receiving unit and controls a penetration area of lights emitted from the light emitting unit. The penetration area of the lights is controlled by the controlling unit, thereby controlling the displaying unit by transmitting changes of electrical signals being generated in the light receiving unit.
