A GEOMETRY REPRESENTING SYSTEM OF 3D CONVEX OBJECT USING GEOMETRIC TEXTURE AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A geometry representing system of a 3D convex object using a geometric texture and a method thereof are provided to simply convert 3D shape data into a 2D image, thereby reducing a data size when data are transmitted. CONSTITUTION: A geometry information obtaining unit(100) obtains geometry information of 3D geometry data. A 2D storage unit(200) stores the maximum length information, first length information, second length information, and reference plane information of the 3D geometry data. A color extracting unit(300) extracts a color of a 2D image to be generated using the length information. An image generating unit(400) generates the 2D image using the color. A transmission unit(500) transmits the 2D image and the maximum length information to a 3D converting unit. The image generating unit includes a frame buffer.
