The invention relates to a novel method for extraction using liquid or supercritical CO2 as the extractant. The aim of the invention is to devise a novel method for extracting powdery materials which allows increased effectiveness/profitability. According to the invention, the powdery particles or the liquid material are mixed with a porous material and the CO2 is allowed to flow through said mixture.
