<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device, a software update method, and an image processing device that can achieve both update of software embedded therein and protection of information easily. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device that updates software 21 embedded therein comprises: encryption decryption means 5 for storing a calculation value to be uniquely calculated via software 20 to 22, encrypting information with the value, and decrypting information that is encrypted with the value; authentication means for authentication of a software update file 110; software update means for updating software 21 by using the software update file 110 that is authenticated successfully; and encryption key management means for re-encrypting information 70 that is encrypted with the value, with a new value changed based on the update of the software 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
