GAS INSULATION SWITCHGEAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulation switchgear which eliminates foreign objects existed in a case and detects abnormality of the gas insulation switchgear early by detecting a decomposition gas of an insulation gas.

SOLUTION: A gas insulation switchgear 1 includes: a switch part 12 disposed between an upstream side conductor W1 and a downstream side conductor W2 to disconnect and connect an electrical path; a case 14 enclosing an insulation gas and hermetically housing the switch part; and a foreign object elimination device 20 taking out the insulation gas to the exterior of the case to eliminate foreign objects therefrom. The foreign object elimination device includes: a lead-out tube body 22 connecting with the interior of the case so as to communicate therewith and leading out the insulation gas to the exterior of the case; a foreign object elimination unit 40 eliminating the foreign objects in the insulation gas supplied from the lead-out tube body; and a return tube body 24 returning the insulation gas that has been subject to foreign object elimination process conducted by the foreign object elimination unit to the interior of the case. The foreign object elimination unit includes a decomposition gas sensor 44 detecting the decomposition gas of the insulation gas and a fan 52 circulating the insulation gas between the case and the foreign object elimination device.
