The post (1) has an external bodywork element forming a post (10), and an internal bodywork element forming a lining (20) and a reinforcement (30) e.g. stiffener, arranged between the post (10) and the lining. The reinforcement has a semi-tubular shape, and is fixed to the lining at the level of exposed edges. The reinforcement is constituted by a monoblock structure profile and presents U-section, where the reinforcement has thickness higher than that of the thickness of the post (10) and the lining. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a window post.
