<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic blackboard system which can always obtain only an image of a background plate to precisely calculate coordinates of a coordinate pointing object, without the need for fine adjustment of mounting positions of a camera and a shielding plate. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic blackboard system is provided, which can detect, as two-dimensional coordinates on a display surface, a contact position of a coordinate pointing object with respect to a display surface or an operation position of the coordinate pointing object with respect to a detection surface set on a front side of the display surface. The system automatically distinguishes only an area of the background plate from a captured image without using a shielding plate to detect coordinates of the coordinate pointing object using only an image of the distinguished area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
