PURPOSE: A media X-speed rating reproducing method in a universal plug and play network and a device thereof are provided to determine a cycle of a frame provided to a digital media player according to an X-rating speed in a digital media server of the universal plug and play network. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(200) receives an X-rating speed reproduction request from a digital media player. A control unit(210) selects frames to be transmitted to the digital media player based on the X-rating speed reproduction request. The control unit controls a function for resetting reproduction time information of the selected frames. A transmission unit(270) transmits the reset reproduction time information and the selected frames to the digital media player.
