PURPOSE: An apparatus for handling freight is provided to minimize time for loading and unloading by automatically implementing a loading/unloading process with a loading/unloading lift unit and a loading/unloading rotation unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for handling freight comprises a loading/unloading lift unit(110) and a loading/unloading rotation unit(150). The loading/unloading unit is operated to support and lift pallets where freight is loaded so that the pallets can be loaded and unloaded from the ground to the underground or from the underground to the ground. The loading/unloading rotation unit lifts and rotates around a transferring conveyor to serve the pallets as the loading/unloading unit in the transferring conveyor or the transferring conveyor in the loading/unloading unit.
