The present invention provides a method for screening tumor cells which can be induced to apoptosis with acenaphtho heterocycle compounds such as 3-thiomorpholin-8-oxo-8H-acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole-9-carbonitrile, as well as the use and kits thereof. The method comprises detecting the apoptosis-inducing factor Bak in tumor cells, wherein if the expression of Bak is no less than 50% of the expression of actin, it is determined that the tumor cells can be induced to apoptosis with acenaphtho heterocycle compounds.
