<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension device having a plurality of video output terminals in conformity to various standards, capable of reducing the number of signal lines of video signals electrically connected to an electronic appliance via a connection terminal. <P>SOLUTION: An extension device 10 of one embodiment of the present invention for extending the function of a notebook computer 20, includes: a connection terminal 11 for electrically connecting the notebook PC 20; and an input signal line 40 connected to the connection terminal 11 for transmitting a video signal output by the notebook PC 20 through the connection terminal 11. The extension device 10 further includes: an RGB socket 13 in conformity to the analog RGB standard; and an HDMI socket 14 in conformity to the HDMI standard. Furthermore, the extension device 10 includes a signal conversion part 50. When a video signal output from the notebook PC 20 is input through the input signal line 40, the signal conversion part 50 converts the video signal into a video signal conforming to the analog RGB standard and outputs the converted signal to the RGB socket 13, and also converts the video signal into a video signal conforming to the HDMI standard and outputs the converted signal to the HDMI socket 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
