<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation in a main body of a terminal fitting. <P>SOLUTION: In a step where a terminal fitting 60 is inserted into a cavity 23, a lance 24 is slided into a main body 61 being made bended and deformed. When the terminal fitting 60 is regularly inserted into the cavity 23, the lance 24 is displaced in a return direction preventing the main body 61 from coming off. In the main body 61, at least at the end part in a width direction orthogonal to an insertion direction to the cavity 23, a contact region 71 is formed which contacts with the lance 24 when the terminal fitting 60 is not inserted up to the regular depth in the cavity 23 and the lance 24 is half-inserted being bended and deformed, while a non contact region 72 is formed in an area other than the end part which does not contact with the lance 24 when the lance 24 is half-inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
