PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize a radio resource as well as suppress an increase in the number of blind detection even when a format of downlink control information is changed according to communication environment.

SOLUTION: A radio communication method creating control information by using a prescribed DCI format among a plurality of DCI formats including a first DCI format whose content is an uplink scheduling grant and a second DCI format whose content is a downlink scheduling allocation comprises the step of generating control information by: adding an information field to the second DCI format so that the size of the second DCI format is the same as that of the first DCI format after being extended, when the size of the first DCI format is extended; and giving information for extending an existing function of the second DCI format and/or information for adding a new function to the information field.
