摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus which simply measures variation in characteristics of a magnetic material with a small scale facility at low costs so as to discriminate a magnet having recessive characteristics of thermal demagnetization, even for ferromagnetic materials such as Nd-based materials having large coercive force. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring magnetic characteristics of a ferromagnetic material is provided with a magnetic field generating mechanism, so that a magnetic flux 108 generated by the magnetic field generating mechanism is injected to a ferromagnetic material 105 to be measured. The apparatus includes magnetic poles 107 of the magnetic field generating mechanism which are arranged with a gap facing the ferromagnetic material 105 to be measured, a load transfer mechanism 102 which is linked to the ferromagnetic material to be measured, and a load sensor 101 which measures the force, transmitted through the load transfer mechanism, applied to the ferromagnetic material to be measured by the magnetic flux.
