METHOD OF STRENGTHENING FOUNDATION WHERE ABOVE MAIN STRUCTURE IS REINFORCED WITH EXTERNAL LOAD BEARING PRECAST CONCRETE WALL PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for reinforcing a foundation for an upper structure using a precast concrete wall panel is provided to effectively deliver horizontal force under earthquake loads by connecting PC wall or a reinforced concrete wall to a continuous foundation. CONSTITUTION: A method for reinforcing a foundation for an upper structure is as follows. A precast concrete member is installed between a first floor beam(420) and a second floor beam. A space from the side of the first floor beam to a main bar is removed. A steel bar is inserted into the removed space. The inserted steel bar and the steel bar of the precast concrete member are joined. The joined steel bar extended downward to the first floor beam is connected to a floor steel bar forming the foundation for the upper structure.
