The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an organic-inorganic composite hybrid sorbent by impregnating an oxide into nanopores of activated carbon and to a method for using the method in water treatment. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sorbent comprising a porous sorbent, and ferrihydrite, goethite, hematite or magnetite impregnated into the porous sorbent, and to a method for manufacturing the sorbent.
