<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanizing mold and a motorcycle tire in which the strength of the mold is not deteriorated and the occurrence of cracking can be suppressed near a base of a shoulder portion and a side wall portion. <P>SOLUTION: The tire vulcanizing mold is for manufacturing the motorcycle tire and which is divided into a tread segment and upper and lower side plates. The motorcycle tire includes a projected thick portion formed between shoulder blocks and making the shoulder blocks continue with each other. The depth of a groove for forming the thick portion provided on a mold cavity surface is set shallower than a virtual groove bottom line on the tire side extending along the bottom surface of the thick portion. The dividing position between the tread segment and the side plates is set to be an intermediate position between an apex of the thick portion in the tire radial direction and a base point of the shoulder blocks excluding the apex and the base point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
